Judi Richardson has been a long-serving member of Parkinson Canada's board, and also served as a former chair of the board. Judi's personal connection to the Parkinson's cause was through her late father. Judi's contributions to Parkinson Canada and People living with Parkinson's have been invaluable. Her expertise, commitment and passion for our mission has been nothing short of inspiring.
A critical part of Parkinson Canada's mission is to fund bold, innovative, and impactful research which will bring us closer to finding new treatment options and potentially, a cure for Parkinson's Disease. An annual research grant award will be named after Judi.
Each year, Parkinson Canada provides pilot grants valued at $75,000 each, and the top ranked pilot grant will be named: The Judi Richardson Parkinson Canada Pilot Grant.
The top ranked pilot grant would have demonstrated innovation and have achieved the highest scientific merit from our review panel. This would be an ongoing annual award, ensuring that Judi's legacy will continue with Parkinson Canada in perpetuity.
