Parkinson Canada - Saskatchewan is proud to present Pharmacist and Program Specialist Kelly Kizlyk of MedSask. She will be addressing your many questions about the use of cannabis and Parkinson’s disease. This presentation will be followed by time for Q & A you won’t want to miss it.

After a short coffee break, we will have Physiotherapist and Yoga Instructor Adrianne Vangool presenting Yoga and You: managing anxiety, stress, and pain in PD.

SPEAKER BIOS:

Kelly Kizlyk, BSP

Kelly Kizlyk is a Medication Information Consultant and Program Specialist with medSask at the University of Saskatchewan. Kelly completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy at the University of Saskatchewan in 2002. She started her career with Shoppers Drug Mart as a community pharmacist, and then transitioned to work as a hospital pharmacist in the former Saskatoon Health Region. She joined the University of Saskatchewan in 2017 and, in addition to her work with medSask, has taken on the role of a student as she works towards her Masters Degree in Pharmacy.

Kelly is a member of the Canadian Consortium for the Investigation of Cannabinoids, and has a special interest in balancing the need for practical information about cannabis with the evidence based research which is currently available.


Adrianne Vangool, MPT, Bsc. Kin, Certified Yoga Therapist

Adrianne Vangool is a licensed physical therapist who graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2010 from the school of Physical Therapy. She has experience in home-care and private practice settings working with individuals with a wide range of injuries from musculoskeletal, neurological, chronic pain, vestibular dysfunction, and more. She is passionate about making physiotherapy and yoga accessible to all. This has driven her to start Vangool Wellness, where the focus is on addressing and eliminating the barriers that prevent people from taking part in Yoga, and from receiving physical therapy services.
