Parkinson Canada - Saskatchewan is proud to present Psychiatric Pharmacist Melanie McLeod of Vital Care Pharmacy, Regina. Dr. McLeod is an expert in mental health challenges and medications. This presentation will be followed by time for Q & A you won’t want to miss it.

After a short coffee break, we will be introducing the new Managing My Parkinson’s Disease in Healthcare Settings. This booklet is part of the ACT on Time™ program from Parkinson Canada.

SPEAKER BIO:

Melanie McLeod, BSP, ACPR, PharmD, BCPP

Dr. Melanie McLeod is a Board Certified Psychiatric Pharmacist who works as a consultant to the Department of Psychiatry in Regina, Saskatchewan.

She was born and raised in Saskatchewan and currently practices in Regina. She completed her undergraduate pharmacy degree at the University of Saskatchewan and a post baccalaureate Doctor of Pharmacy Degree at the University of Toronto.

Melanie is a front-line worker in both community and acute care psychiatry settings. In 2017, Melanie opened a Community Pharmacy in Regina named "Vital Care Pharmacy" which is the first pharmacy in Canada and supporting patients with mental illness.

Melanie is also an educator of psychopharmacology and has affiliations with the Colleges of Pharmacy & Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan and the College of Pharmacy at the University of Alberta.
