Finding a cure and honouring my family
I have incredible memories of building things with my dad growing up. A rowboat, a swingset, a seaflea, a sauna. The list goes on...
14 years ago my dad my was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease - a crippling neurodegenerative disease. Medication has become less effective and over time mobility and speach challenges have become more pronounced.
In an effort to do something about this I cofounded a charitable ride 7 years ago to raise money for research into PD ....and to try and find a cure.
This year we are at it again and are trying to raise over $200,000 to fund scientific research. 100% of all funds that you commit are directed to research. We do the work. There is no administrative overhead.
I appreciate any support you can provide and in return, I'm going to ride until my legs feel like they are going to fall off - as are a number of other people joining us in this journey.
On behalf of my dad, and the others who suffer from PD, thank you for your support.
