All are welcome to join our team!!

This summer (JULY 14/15/16 2017) our team is Pedaling for Parkinson's (in Parry Sound). This cycling event was created to raise awareness about Parkinson's and raise funds for research.

Since the first ride 6 years ago, and with hundreds of kilometers logged by loads of riders, the ride has raised in excess of $700,000.00!! Peter Istvan (Stewart's brother) was the winner of the Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Canada 2016 Cash, Sweat & Tears award

Your donation dollars go directly towards a Pedaling for Parkinson’s Research Grant. Supporting our team or one of its members has a direct impact on the Parkinson’s research community.

Parkinson's is a neurodegenerative disease. Movement is normally controlled by dopamine, a chemical that carries signals between the nerves in the brain. When cells that normally produce dopamine die, the symptoms of Parkinson's appear. Currently, there is no cure.

With your support we can help the Parkinson Society realize their vision of a better life and a brighter future for Canadian's living with Parkinson's today; a world without Parkinson's tomorrow.
