This summer our team is Pedaling for Parkinson's (in Parry Sound). This cycling event was created to raise awareness about Parkinson's and raise funds for research. This is the last year the event is running - and what an amazing 10 years it's been!!!
The team is comprised of Chris and James Newall, Grant, Jacquie and Hailey Chapman... with Maggie supporting from the Chocolate Chip Cookie station :-)
Your donation dollars go directly towards a Pedaling for Parkinson’s Research Grant. Supporting our team or one of its members has a direct impact on the Parkinson’s research community.
Parkinson's is a neurodegenerative disease. Movement is normally controlled by dopamine, a chemical that carries signals between the nerves in the brain. When cells that normally produce dopamine die, the symptoms of Parkinson's appear. Currently, there is no cure.
With your support we can help the Parkinson Canada realize their vision of a better life today for Canadians living with Parkinson's; a world without Parkinson's tomorrow.
