Support Allan and Gail McGregor for Parkinson SuperWalk 2017
Dear Family and Friends:
We wish to thank everyone who supported us in last year's walk. We are asking for support again for the walk on September 9th.
This year,Gail is joining me as a registered Walker in The Parkinsons SuperWalk on September 9th. She, therefor, has her own page to receive support from those who would like to credit her for her partipation in the walk. We hope to raise, between us, a similar amount which we receieved last year which brought in approximately $3000.00. Many of you are aware that I have been diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease (PD) and I want you to know that I have learned much about PD and have benefitted from my participation in my support group. Gail has been, and still is, a faithful and loving caregiver and deserves recognition for all she has done for me and others in our support group.
Again this year We have teamed up with the Stewarts (Ken and Susan) - fellow parishioners at All Saints and long time PD members - in a team called The 'Golden Spreaders'; and we hope that we can add similar results as last year to our total donations. I also hope that many more people will become aware of PD as it was not as often publicized as other important diseases. In fact, most of us who suffer with PD were unaware that we had the symptoms for years before we were officially diagnosed. We are glad to say that it is receiving much more publicity these days.
By sponsoring us or others, you will be helping more people to recognize the need for awareness and treatment of PD.
The simplest Way to sponsor us is to search Parkinson SuperWalk Ottawa 2017 and type in Walker "Allan McGregor" and/or "Gail McGregor" or Team "Golden Spreaders" and then click one of our names. As well, if you are on Facebook, there is now a direct link.
We thank you in advance for considering the support of this event.
Allan and Gail
