Patricia Hansen's Turtles
Everyday Heroes. Extraordinary Hope
Thanks for visiting our team page. This September, our team will be joining everyday heroes from communities across Canada as part of Parkinson SuperWalk. We are very excited about this opportunity to help in some small way to make the lives of people living with Parkinsons easier and to make them realize that there are many who sincerely care. We have had enourmous support since we began our campaign and we thank each and every person who has taken the time to make an individual or team donation.
Donations have actually exceeded our hopes and we are doing our best to keep the momentum going. Our team, the Turtles, have been moving along slowly but surely and we have now exceeded our fourth goal so we are going for our fifth goal of $7,000.00. This is going to be a real challenge with only four days to go until the Superwalk, but I believe this team can reach it with your help.
As a team, we’re committed to supporting Parkinson Canada. I’d like to tell you why, and what committing to join us or visiting our personal pages and making a donation will do.
The need is only increasing. More than 25 Canadians are diagnosed with Parkinson's every day; more than one person every hour. By 2031, the number of people living with Parkinson’s in Canada will more than double. I am participating in Parkinson SuperWalk to fund the increasing need for support services, education, advocacy and research. This is why I’m asking for your support today. More than that, we walk to show our collective support for a collective movement of people in communities across Canada looking to make a difference one step at a time.
Help me ensure Parkinson Canada is there for Canadians living with Parkinson’s today – while funding research into better treatments and one day, a cure.
Every dollar raised and every new team member means new hope. Thank you!
