Thanks for visiting our team page! This September, our family team will be joining everyday heroes from communities across Canada as part of Parkinson SuperWalk.
As a team, we’re committed to supporting Parkinson Canada. We’d like to tell you why, and what committing to join us or visiting our personal pages and making a donation will do...
Our journey with Parkinson's disease started 12 years ago when Ray, our father, was diagnosed at 48 years old. Parkinson's seems to run in our family as shortly after Ray's diagnosis our grandfather, his father-in-law, was also diagnosed with Parkinson's. We know the challenges and struggles of living with Parkinson's, we also see the positivity and commitment that Parkinson Canada and the support community creates. We are incredibly thankful for the resources, support, education and treatment that has been offered to Ray. We want to ensure this continues for any other Canadian diagnosed...and the need is only increasing. More than 25 Canadians are diagnosed with Parkinson's every day; more than one person every hour. We are participating in Parkinson SuperWalk to fund the increasing need for support, advocacy and research. This is why we are asking for your support today. More than that, we walk to show our collective support for a collective movement of people in communities across Canada looking to make a difference one step at a time.
Help us ensure Parkinson Canada is there for Canadians living with Parkinson’s today – while funding research into better treatments and one day, a cure.
Every dollar raised and every new team member means new hope. Thank you!
