2018 Parkinson SuperWalk in Memory of Mom
On Sunday, September 9th, we will be holding our 6th annual Vaughan Parkinsons SuperWalk. Funds raised will go to support research in Canada that helps us learn more about the prevention, diagnosis and treatment options for Parkinson’s disease, ultimately with the goal of finding a cure.
Once again our family and friends have joined Team Cookies and Cream. "Cookies" preserves the memory of my dear mother Adelia who loved her biscotti and "Cream" our wonderful friends the Crema's who are dealing with the challenges of living with Parkinson's. As most of you know Mom was diagnosed with Parkinson's at the young age of 49. She and our family learned to live with the challenges the disease presented with loving support for 30 years. Our friend Rob Crema was also diagnosed at this young age, and with loving support of friends and family, he too will be able take on any challenges associated with the disease.
This year I am blessed to work with another great group of dedicated volunteers on our Vaughan SuperWalk Executive Committee. This group includes my sisters Nadia and Angie.
Last year I was overwhelmed with the generosity of my friends in helping me exceed my fundraising goal. Your generosity and support this year would also be appreciated. Every dollar means new hope. If you would like to volunteer your time or walk with Team Cookies and Cream on September 9th please contact me directly or join the team online. Thank you!
With much love and light,
