Support [NAME] for Parkinson SuperWalk
A few years ago, at the age of 65, my dad John was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease.
This September, I’m joining everyday heroes from communities across Canada as part of Parkinson SuperWalk. I’d like to tell you why, and what your donation will do.
Parkinson's is a neurodegenerative disease for which there is currently no cure. Medication can help alleviate symptoms, but while a PD diagnosis isn't necessarily a dearh sentence, it IS a life sentence. More than 25 Canadians are diagnosed with Parkinson's every day; and I'm participating in Parkinson SuperWalk to fund the increasing need for support, advocacy and research.
I'm walking for my dad, who has PD and whose life has changed because of it, and for my mom, whose life has also changed as a PD partner.
I'm walking, NOT just for John, but for everyone living with and affected by this disease.
