Everyday Heroes. Extraordinary Hope.
Thanks for visiting our team page!!
This September, us girls (Kelly, Stephanie & Shanna) will be joining everyday heroes from communities across Canada as part of Parkinson SuperWalk. As a team, we’re committed to supporting Parkinson Canada. We would like to tell you why, and what committing to join us or visiting our personal pages and making a donation will do.
We have decided to join the Walk this year in honour of our beautiful mother Joyce, who had suffered thru Parkinson's for over 20 years, and had passed away in January of this year. Our mother was diagnosed with Parkinson's at a fairly young age but she did not let it discourage her from enjoying life. Her strength and her faith in God allowed her to push the boundaries of living with Parkinson's in order to see her children married and the birth of her 6 wonderful grandchildren.
More than 25 Canadians are diagnosed with Parkinson's every day; more than one person every hour. By 2031, the number of people living with Parkinson’s in Canada will more than double. We are participating in Parkinson SuperWalk to fund the increasing need for support, advocacy and research. This is why we are asking for your support today.
More than that, we walk to show our collective support for a collective movement of people in communities across Canada looking to make a difference one step at a time.
Help us ensure Parkinson Canada is there for Canadians living with Parkinson’s today – while funding research into better treatments and one day, a cure.
Every dollar raised and every new team member means new hope. Thank you!
