Welcome to Amy Pattman's Personal Page
This year I am walking in my third Parkinson's Superwalk along side my team Jeep's Jokers to celebrate my everyday hero...my Dad. As many of my close family and friends know my father was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in his mid-fifties. For many years this did not prevent him from doing many of the activities he enjoyed. More recently he has had to give up many of the activites he loves due to the debilitating effects of this disease. As I watch Prakinson's rob him of so many of the things he once enjoyed I feel as helpless as does he. I cannot change the effects of Parkinson's but I can walk alongside him in this journey as he has always walked beside me in mine.
This September 9th I will be beside my father, children, aunts, uncles and my grandchildren as we come together to raise funds for research and support for people affected by Parkinson's. As I walk beside my father and the rest of our team,Jeep's Jokers, I am reminded to count my blessing. A wise man I like to call Dad once told me "Money does not make you rich, love does!".This year we are walking with the wealthiest man I know!!!! Parkinson will never be able to take his wealth or his worth! His value only increases in time.
Please help our team raise money to support Parkinson's Research and support as we join 14,000 Canadians who take part Parkinson SuperWalk. Every dollar means new hope. Thank you!
