Support JOE'S SUPER TEAM for Parkinson SuperWalk
Everyday Heroes. Extraordinary Hope.
Thanks for taking a look at my personal page. This September, I’m joining everyday heroes from communities across Canada as part of Parkinson SuperWalk. I’d like to tell you why, and what your donation will do.
The need is only increasing. More than 25 Canadians are diagnosed with Parkinson's every day; more than one person every hour. By 2031, the number of people living with Parkinson’s in Canada will more than double. I am participating in Parkinson SuperWalk to fund the increasing need for support, education, advocacy and research. This is why I’m asking for your support today.
Specifically, I am walking for my Dad, Joe! He has been living with Parkinson's for 9 years. Anyone who knows my dad knows that he is the kindest, funniest, most selfless and genuine person around. No matter what cards life may deal him, he takes everything with a smile (and probably a joke as well). I wouldn't be the person I am today without my dad, he is truly the greatest person I know, and someone I can always count on. He has supported me throughout all of the highs and lows in my life, and now I want to support him.
Help me ensure Parkinson Canada is there for Canadians living with Parkinson’s today – while funding research into better treatments and one day, a cure. I am walking for my dad, and any donation means the world to me!
This is my second year doing the Parkinson's Superwalk, and this year I hope to raise even more money and awareness than last year! To show your support, click the DONATE NOW button on the right hand side of the page, above the progress meter and achievements.
Every dollar means new hope. Thank you!
