Your efforts helped to fund 25 new research projects including the work of Dr. Antonio Strafella. This highly regarded University of Toronto researcher is using a new chemical as part of PET scans to help diagnose and differentiate Parkinson’s. Moreover, supporting SuperWalk has helped to fund education sessions that reached more than that have been made available for thousands to attend in person and a broader audience through virtual attendance at webinars, an information and referral line that has fielded more than 5,000 calls and 30,000 inquiries and advocacy efforts that have seen multiple new medications added to provincial drug formularies among other gains.
In 2018, together, we’ll continue to pursue our vision of a better life today for Canadians living with Parkinson’s; a world without Parkinson’s tomorrow.
