Why am I participating in a community fundraising effort in support of Parkinson Canada?
My father lived with Parkinson's, and I witnessed the mounting toll it took on his quality of life until he died at 95. No one should have to experience the debilitating effects of Parkinson's which affects mobility, mental acuity, and memory, to name just a few of the functions it affects.
I am part of a group of drummers committed to keeping the beat and playing through the night in the spirit of drum beats connecting communities, with a goal of making a difference for the Parkinson Community as well.
Together, we can raise funds for research, education and support services to benefit more than 100,000 Canadians living with Parkinson’s. Research into the causes of Parkinson’s will help find better treatments and one day, a cure.
Please donate to my effort, every dollar means new hope.
