The Muhtadi World Drummers, of which I am a member, is making a fundraising effort in support of Parkinson Canada and the Muhtadi International Drumming Festival.
Our group is committed to playing our drums and keeping a beat going for 12 hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the spirit of rhythm and drums connecting communities, as happens at our yearly drumming Festival. The hope is to raise enough cash to make a difference for the Parkinson Community and for the Muhtadi International Drumming Festival. Parkinson Canada uses funds for research, education and support services to benefit more than 100,000 Canadians living with Parkinson’s. Research into the causes of Parkinson’s will help find better treatments and one day, a cure. The MIDF is looking forward to presenting the 19th free Drumming Festival to the city, for a weekend of fun, entertainment, harmony, inclusion and happiness.
Please join us in drumming if you can and if you are able, please donate online right now using the DONATE NOW button to the right. The event will be December 3 at the Daniels Spectrum at 585 Dundas St East.
