I’m taking part in the Growling Beaver Brevet again to raise money for Parkinson Canada in honour of Leslie Jacobs. Leslie is the father of my dear friends Kali Jacobs (daughter) and Michael Gordon.
Leslie was diagnosed with Parkinson’s approximately 10 years ago, which came as quite a shock to him and his family. Although Leslie’s diagnosis is progressive in nature, he is extremely motivated to beat the odds and get better. With his positive attitude and family by his side (His wife Eloise & 3 daughters - Kali, Jenna, Dara) the sky is the limit!
Parksinon Canada’s mission is to transform the lives of people living with Parkinson’s. Parkinson Canada funds critical research, provides information and support, increases awareness and advocates for improved health care outcomes for people living with Parkinson's across Canada.
As I did in 2023, I will be riding the 100km gravel route. My fundraising goal last year was $3,000 and ultimately raised over ~$5,200. This year, my goal is to raise $6,000. Similar to last year, I will be self-videoing the day and will share a highlight video with donors.
Please support my Growling Beaver Brevet fundraiser for Leslie and help me ensure Parkinson Canada is here for Canadians living with Parkinson’s today – while funding research into better treatments and one day, a cure.
