Dear Family and Friends: I am writing to solicit your support for my fundraising bike ride in support of Parkinson Canada. On Saturday, October 5th, I am taking part in The Growling Beaver Brevet which is a gravel bike ride in the Collingwood area. I will be riding 60 km. The charity ride is a fundraiser for Parkinson Canada, whose mission is to fund critical research, provide support and education and advocate for the over 100,000 Canadians living with Parkinson's.
My mother was diagnosed with early stage Parkinson's two years before she passed away in November 2021 so the disease has a personal connection for me and my family.
More than 25 Canadians are diagnosed with Parkinson's every day. By 2031, the number of persons living with Parkinson's in Canada is expected to double. Please consider supporting my fundraising ride. Together, we can ensure that Parkinson Canada is here to: (i) fund research into better treatments and eventually a cure; (ii) continue its advocacy and education work; and (iii) continue helping persons and families living with Parkinson's.

Together we can make a difference. Thank you.
