I'm taking part in the Growling Beaver to raise money for Parkinson Canada. Parkinson's is the fastest growing neurological disorder in the world and there is currently no cure.
A few years ago my mom, Sarah, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. My mom has always been someone I looked up to, and being diagnosed with PD has been no different. While this disease has presented struggles, she has never let it define her. She is the strongest and most determined person I know, and she continues to live her life to fullest, inspiring everyone around her to do the same.
I ride in the hopes that funding can go towards more research so we might understand this disease. Understanding it will take us one step closer to finding a cure.
I am thrilled to be riding together alongside my mom, family, and friends as we all work towards the same goal - Ending Parkinson’s Disease!
