In 2019, at the age of 50 - I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. To say that the news was a shock is an understatement. Although I have had my fair share of low moments since being diagnosed - I continue to live my life to the fullest and have tried to remain as upbeat and positive as possible. I wish every day that I didn't have PD - but it's no longer my enemy and I'm at peace with it. Cycling continues to be a therapeutic outlet for me and being on my bike makes me feel almost "normal"!!! I am looking forward to riding 100 km with friends and family to raise funds for an important cause.
