Hello all,

As you probably know, in April 2017, I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s.  

Parkinson's is a neurodegenerative disease.  Currently, there is no cure. 

The need is only increasing. More than 25 Canadians are diagnosed with Parkinson's every day.  By 2031, the number of people living with Parkinson’s in Canada will more than double.

In late August, I am taking part in Pedaling for Parkinson's - a cycling event that was created to raise awareness about Parkinson's and raise funds for research.  Once again, I am a Rigid Rider, a team of riders with PD and their friends.

I feel incredibly blessed to have an amazing neurologist who not only looks after my care but is doing leading research, especially in terms of genetic connections, which is important to me as I have a rare genetic disorder that made me 30x more likely to develop PD.
