Hello Friends and Family,
I'm back in the saddle, for the 4th year at "Pedaling for Parkinson's" - a cycling event in Prince Edward County.
It was created to raise awareness about Parkinson's and raise funds for research. With your support we can help provide a better life today for Canadians (including my Dad), living with Parkinson's.
Parkinson's is the fastest growing neurological disorder in the world. In the brain, the nerves exchange signals through dopamine, a chemical that controls movement. Parkinson's symptoms occur when cells that produce dopamine die.
Currently, there is NO cure.
More than 30 Canadians are diagnosed with Parkinson's every day, by 2031, the number of people living with Parkinson’s in Canada will more than double.
Any type of support/donation would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping to exceed my fundraising total from last year!
Thank- you in advance.
Jenni Bridger.
