Welcome to Parkinson's Super-walk 2019
September 2019 is again approaching and once more I am preparing to raise funds to help find the elusive cure for this debilating disease and to hopefully also to raise awareness of the effect Parkinson's has on the individual and their families.
It is also a time to honour and remember all those who are living with or have lost their battle to this cruel debilitating life altering condition.
On September 8th 2019 I will again walk to honour the memory of Charles and his long struggle. In Durham Region we continue the good fight with hope and optimism a cure will be found.
Together with 14000 Canadians we raise funds for education and support services, not only for people with Parkinson's, but also for their caregivers and family members in communities across Canada. This annual event also raises funds for research into the causes of Parkinson's, better treatments and one day, a cure and avocacy to promote knowledge and understanding.
When you walk with me or sponsor me, you bring us closer to this year's goal of $3 million. Every dollar means new hope. Thank you for your support. If you are around Ajax on Sepetember 8th I would love to see you and walk a few metres with you for this worthy and personal cause.
