Welcome to the Personal Page of Alan Farmer
This September I will again walk to raise funds for the Parkinson Canada SuperWalk. The walk is to raise funds for, education and support services, not only for people with Parkinson's, but also for their caregivers and family members in communities across Canada. This annual event also raises funds for research into the causes of Parkinson's, better treatments and one day, a cure. When you walk with me or sponsor me, you bring us closer to this year's goal of $3 million. Every dollar means new hope.
This will be my 11th next year participating in the walk. We will be joining the walk in Guelph again this year.
It is now over 5 years since I had DBS (Deep Brain Stimulator) surgery at Toronto Western Hosital and the results have been amazing. While it is not a cure it certainly has a major impact on controlling the symptons.
Your support by sponsoring me would be really appreciated. Please contact me at 519-929-9692 if you have any questions (or just to chat!)
