Continuing the journey . . .
Welcome back, my friends, I hope you know how much you mean to us. Some of you have staunchly stood beside us since we embarked on this Parkinson's journey some 28 years ago. Others of you have come alongside us on the way, but all of you have been faithful to help in whatever way you could. New and innovative Parkinson's treatments have improved the quality of life for affected people, yet a cure still eludes us. We're walking for a cure.
There are walks scheduled all across the country. Together we raise funds for education and support services, not only for people with Parkinson's, but also for their caregivers and family members. This annual event also raises funds for research into the causes of Parkinson's, better treatments and one day, a cure.
This year's cross-Canada target is $3 million. Every dollar means new hope.
Would you walk with me or sponsor me, and bring us closer to that goal? Let me know if you are planning to walk with us, or walk for us, if it happens that we are in Toronto for a DBS programming appointment.
