Julie and Luke are running again for Parkinsons

Yes, it's that time of year again, and as usual, we're running again to raise funds for the Parkinson's Society in Canada. The run is on Saturday 7 September. As usual, I'm going to try and (slowly) run the whole 5K, avoiding being overtaken by any walkers.
I'm lucky that, 7 years since being diagnosed, I can still plan to run 5 kilometers. I'm definitely a little slower each year, but that's OK. I still think it's important to keep my body (and my brain) functioning well, until there is a cure. And I am still optimistic that research already underway will result in a cure - by which I mean a stop to the loss of my brain cells and a way to replace those I have already lost - in time to help me. It's a race against time that I intend to win. I'll also continue to do what I can by participating in research and trials.
Thanks for supporting us again,
Julie
