Welcome, big news for 2 donors, TORONTO MAPLE LEAF PRIZES
This September 15th my family and I have committed to participate for my 6th year alongside 10,000 participants standing together against Parkenson’s.
I'm proud to participate in SuperWalk, an event that emphasizes the strength of spirit the Parkinson Community shows one that understands that while symptoms may cause challenges, there is courage to try and fail and try again. And again. So everyone can recognize what true strength of character looks like. No Matter What.
This year we want to recognize your contribution to our cause by rewarding two donors with gifts that were generously contributed by the Toronto Maple Leafs and Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment. Details and guidelines are outlined below.
With more than 25 Canadians diagnosed with Parkinson's every day, the need for support is only growing. Your gift contributes to critical research, education, support and advocacy efforts on behalf of the Parkinson Community.
On a personnel note Parkinson’s has impacted our family once again, my sister Anita’s husband Chuck Daigle has been diagnosed in the past year. Add this to my Grandfather John, my Uncle John and this John, that makes 3 Generation of John, thankfully I did not name my son John.
As for me I have been approved for Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery for November or December 2019. I am not looking forward to the surgery but am looking forward to the results. After doing the testing the results indicate that I could see a 64% improvement in my Parkinson’s, this compares to 40% the program would normally see.
Please donate to my Superwalk Campaign this year and know that your donation will be used to bring a vision of a better life today for Canadians living with Parkinson's, a world without Parkinson's tomorrow. Every gift counts.
Your donation will also give you an opportunity for the Toronto Maple Leaf Game day experience, or the Auston Matthews autographed jersey.
