Ladies for Lois
Welcome to Ladies for Lois!
Thank you for visiting our page. The need for help and support is only increasing. More than 25 Canadians are diagnosed with Parkinson's every day; more than one person every hour. By 2031, the number of people living with Parkinson’s in Canada will more than double.
For those of you who don’t know my mom, you’re missing out! My mom, Lois, is an exceptional woman, whose compassion and selflessness continues to amaze me everyday. She is the person who puts all others before herself without contemplation or complaint. She has dedicated her life as an exceptional nurse manager to fabulous nurses and has lead me to follow in her footsteps as a staff nurse. She is a loving, patient and generous mother to myself and my sister. She always finds a way to be there for us even though she’s over 2000km away. She makes this world a better place.
Two years ago my mom was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. The news was heartbreaking to hear as what is associated with Parkinson’s is not always positive. However, my mom is taking on each day with positivity, perseverance and a smile. My mom is my role model and is a constant source of light in my life and the lives of all others she comes across.
I have made this team to show her how much support she has behind her on this journey with Parkinson’s. The proceeds of donations will go towards advocacy, education, research and support for those dealing with Parkinson’s.
Thank you for your time.
