Welcome to My Personal Page
Dear Family and Friends:
In 2012, I was diagnosed with Parkinson's. Despite taking meds, the disease has progressed some but thankfully not a lot so far. At the time of diagnosis, my neurologist encouraged me to join the Parkinson Society but I did not want to. Blanche conviced me that we should at least participate in the Parkinson SuperWalk. Following that, we were both invited to attend the next meeting. Each Parkinson patient has a support person attend the meetings. The support we have both received by attending these monthly meetings is great.
On September 8th., Blanche and I will be joining thousands of walkers and volunteers across Canada to bring hope to Canadians living with Parkinson's.
We would appreciate it if you could help Parkinson SuperWalk reach this goal of $3 million by sponsoring us. Your support will make a difference to the more than 100,000 Canadians living with Parkinson's. Funds raised through Parkinson SuperWalk will help support the vision that we share with the Parkinson Society and the work they do to make a better life and a brighter future for Canadians living with Parkinson's today--a world without Parkinson's tomorrow.
Blanche and I have formed a team called "The G Girls". If you wish, you can support us by visiting our personal fundraising page and making a contribution. Supporting Parkinson SuperWalk is quick and easy. Whatever you can give will help- it all adds up! You will receive your tax receipt quickly by e-mail.
We greatly appreciate your support. If you are in this area on Sept. 8 th., please feel free to join us for the walk. Registration begins at 11:00 a.m. but the walk won't take place until around 1:00.
