The final fundraising push is on as SuperWalk is only 12 days away. Thanks to everyone who has donated so far and has helped me towards my goal. Fundraising is particularly important this year as Parkinsons, like all charities, is struggling with their so-important fund-raising. I designate my fund-raising towards research, which is so important in helping find treatments and a cure for Parkinsons.
I hope you will consider helping me with my fund-raising. Thank you.

6 weeks to go and fund-raising is going very well, I am well on my way to reaching my goal. Thanks to family and friends and thanks for donations made for my home-stitched masks! Keeping people safe from Covid 19 and raising money and awareness for Parkinson's is a double bonus.

Just a quick update. At the end of my first month of fundraising, thanks to the generosity of family and friends, I have raised over $1,500, for which I am extremely grateful. I do have a ways to go to reach my goal, but I am sure I can get there with your help. If you want to make a quick donation, you can use the link below. Our walk will be Sunday, Sept. 13, either together with the Haliburton Highlands Support Group, or just me and Randy. Please consider making a donation to this very worthy cause, which is very close to my heart. Thank you.

Kicking off fund-raising for 2020. This year is a difficult one for many people but the need for funds for Parkinson's research does not diminish.
May 7, 2020
Time to register for the 2020 SuperWalk. Who knows if it will be possible to do a group walk this year, but regardless, Randy & I will be doing our own walk to support this cause which is very dear to our hearts.

The final numbers are in for our Parkinson SuperWalk. Thanks to everyone for my total donations of $3,751. I was one of 150 walkers across Canada who raised more than $2,500! Wow! The Haliburton group raised $8,751 and across Canada over 10,000 walkers raised $2.4 Million. The SuperWalk benefits more than 100,000 Canadians living with Parkinson's and the 25 families who are impacted by a diagnosis every day across the country.

The numbers are finally in! For the 2017 Parkinson Superwalk, thanks to the generosity of family, friends and neighbours, I raised $2,620. Wow! Our Haliburton group raised $8,591 versus $5,750 in 2016. And nationally all the walkers raised over $2.2 million towards Parkinsons research. What a great cause. Thanks everyone who supported me.
Aug 1st update.
Thanks family, friends and neighbours; so far I have reached 87% of my $2,000 goal with $1,740!
This September, I’ll be a part of a movement tasked with raising community awareness in 85 walk communities and beyond, and we’ll be working with them to raise more than $2.25 Million dollars in support of a better life today for Canadians living with Parkinson’s; a world without Parkinson’s tomorrow.
In 2016, SuperStar fundraisers raised an impressive $970,000. In 2017, Parkinson Canada is trying to grow this group’s impact. They’re calling on 500 walkers to reach SuperStar status this year, raising a collective $1 Million.
Every $20 donated on-line receives an immediate tax receipt. If you want to donate to help me reach my goal, please click on the link below.

July
Hi Everyone,
This is my July update. Thank you to all Early Bird donors - since the June update and my terrible math, donations have jumped from $580 to $630 so I am DEFINATELY over half way to reach my 2016 goal of $I,200. Given the unknown postal situation right now, if you donate on line, you can use a credit card and receive your tax receipt immediately.
You can link to my personal page at http://donate.parkinson.ca/…/TR/SuperWalk2016/CNO_superwalk…
Thank you all for your donations or for your consideration in supporting us on our Parkinsons Superwalk in September.

Hi Everyone,
This is my June update. Thank you to all my Early Bird donors - Since the May update my donations have jumped from $340 to $580! I am well over half way to reach my 2016 goal of $I,200. If you send a cheque, please make it payable to me, so I can cash it and then hand in the cash in September otherwise or your cheque will not be cashed until September. Of course, if you donate on line, you can use a credit card and receive your tax receipt immediately.
Thank you all for your donations or for your consideration in supporting me.

Since I started so early, I thought I had better give an update. Thank you to my Early Bird donors - I have received $340 so far! I did make a mistake in asking for those who sent cheques to make them payable to Parkinsons ... that is OK if you do not mind your cheque not being cashed until September. If you send a cheque early, please make it payable to me, so I can cash it and then hand in the cash in September. Of course, if you donate on line, you can use a credit card and receive your tax receipt immediately.
Thank you all for your donations or for your consideration in supporting me.
Gail
Hi Family & Friends,
I would like to thank everyone for their very generous support the past 2 years. Last year I exceeded my goal and raised $1,050 for Parkinson Research and was the highest fund raiser for the Haliburton group. This year I would like to aim for $1,200. I hope that with your support I can attain this goal.
I know it is early as the walk is not until September, but I am keen to get a head start! Thanks for your continuing support.
