Support Team K&K for Parkinson SuperWalk
Every September, Parkinson Canada organizes the Parkinson Superwalk in support of its advocacy for people and families impacted by Parkinson’s. This year the event has been changed to a virtual event because of COVID-19.
Stephen and Karen (Kilburn and Kowalchuk – Team K&K) are supporting Parkinson Canada by dedicating a run and walk to the Superwalk campaign on Monday September 14th. We invite you to sponsor either of us and donate to the campaign.
Stephen is a regular Boston marathon participant and he will run a marathon symbolic of the 2020 race that was cancelled due to the pandemic.
Karen is not a marathon runner but loves to walk and hike!! She has decided to join Stephen and do a 10km walk-a-thon to support the Parkinson Superwalk.
Karen has been living with PD for almost 10 years and exercise and physical activity have been key elements in managing this disease.
More than 25 Canadians are diagnosed with Parkinson's every day. By 2031, the number of people living with Parkinson's in Canada will more than double.
Your donation will fuel better health outcomes for Canadians living with Parkinson's today, and support the Parkinson Canada Research Program which works with Canada's brightest researchers to find the next big breakthroughs in treatment.
