Support Helen for Actual Paddle for Parkinson's
Thanks for taking the time to read my "personal page". I've known Mike Loghrin for nearly 30 years, and I figure it's time to help a buddy out. Please help me (and Flick!) raise funds and awareness for Parkinsons. Mike is facing his challenges with humour and grace; and helping others along the way.
As I was fundraising last year, many donors said "My _____ had Parkinson's". Even close friends, and I never knew. Then my Dad floored me. "Your grandmother, my Mum, had Parkinson's". I never knew that. OK - now it's personal! We gotta beat this!
In the past few weeks, another long-time friend has been diagnosed with Parkinson's too. Due to Covid, and knowing many folks were experiencing financial stress, I left this till the last minute. But, I'm sick of hearing of all the things we can't do these days. Let's raise a little cash to help those less fortunate. If you have a few bucks you can spare, please consider a donation.
As with last year, the walk is on the same day as a dragon boat event. Only this year, we had to make our own mini-regatta. So, I won't be "virtually walking" for Parkinson's. I'll be "actually paddling" in my kayak
Help me help Mike, and Randy! Coz helping our friends and family today may help our friends and family in the future.
Thanks
