Support June Swaffield for Parkinson SuperWalk
Hello Family and Friends:
For the second year, I will be walking to support and raise funds for the ‘The Parkinson’s Superwalk. Parkinson Canada Superwalk takes place each September. Since 1990 walkers have raised more than $38 Million to support a better life today for Canadians living with Parkinson's, a world without Parkinson's tomorrow. To support my Friend, Janice. This year the event will be held on September 12, 2020.
Some of you may know, others may not, that Janice, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2014 and retired in 2018. She has a supportive Neurologist and team that oversee her care and as a result she is doing well but it is a degenerative disease.
Twenty-five Canadians are diagnosed with Parkinson's disease every day. That's more than one life changed per hour. This September, we walk to end it. It is estimated that over 100,000 Canadians have Parkinson’s disease. That number is expected to double by 2031. We hope that one day no one will live with Parkinson’s disease.
Be an everyday hero! Donate to donate.parkinson.ca and donate to - ‘Team Shake, Rattle and Roll’ with Team Captain, Janice Rider.
Your efforts fuel nationwide and local support, advocacy and the Parkinson Canada Research Program.
Thank-you for your support for her Team and me,
May God richly bless you and yours.
