Join the walk or support team "Brouwer"
Hey there. This September I am once again "Walking for Parkinson's." Last year, was the first walk after my dad had died - he lived with Parkinson's for many years. Many people at the walk reminded me of my dad - the shuffle, the movement, the speech and the effort required to move and communicative. Many people reminded me of my mom, faithfully by their spouse's side. It was hard to see people in all the differing stages of the disease, knowing that their were many difficult days ahead as the disease progressed. I will walk on the 12th with thoughts of the past - my dad (and my Uncle Harry, who passed away 4 months later, who also had Parkinson's), the present - my Uncle John who was recently diagnosed, and will look to the future with hope that there will be no more Parkinson's. Will you consider joining team "Brouwer", or perhaps donating?
