Finding a cure, once and for all.
Finding a cure, once and for all.
For the past few years, my dad has has taken the challenge of the Parkinson SuperWalk Fundraiser. This year, as a birthday gift to him, I have decided to create my own team and challenge myself to raise $1000 for the cause.
Ever since I was young, I have wanted to pursue a career in the field of medicine. Years ago when my dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, it became clear to me how much medical professionals do to support and care for their patients. Pharmacists, neurologists and researchers are just a few individuals that have helped people like my dad over the years.
I am honoured to start my first year at the University of Ottawa for Biomedical Sciences to pursue my dream of being a health care professional and contributing to causes such as this one.
The Parkinson Canada SuperWalk is a fundraiser that allows Canadians with Parkinson's to benefit from support, treatments, education, advocacy and guidance. Additionally, they provide funding for research to one day find a cure.
Any donation, big or small creates a difference and is greatly appreciated. Let's fight for a day where we won't have to.
