Natasha Pearen and Family for Parkinson SuperWalk
Our Parkinson Community Stands Together: No Matter What.
One thing that is constant in the journey with Parkinson's is change. It is an individual condition that impacts everyone differently. My Aunt was diagnosed later in life and live about 5 years with the disease before passing away at age 87. It affected her speech, mobility and then cognitive functions.
As someone who works with senior's I have also witnessed about another 6 individuals suffer through this debilitating disease. It is more common than we realize and quickly changes the course of ones life.
More than 25 Canadians are diagnosed with Parkinson's every day; more than one person every hour. My walk and your donation support the important goals of education, support, advocacy and research.
This September 12th, I’m joining everyday heroes from communities across Canada as part of Parkinson Canada SuperWalk. I will be posting our route on Facebook and hope that we may see some onlookers cheering us on!
To show your support, click the DONATE NOW button on the right hand side of the page, above the progress meter and achievements.
Every dollar means new hope. Thank you!
