Well, YOU DID IT !! Right now we are at $3450 !! Combined total of online and offline donations! Thank you team, you did it again!
Here it is, Superwalk time again! And what an odd summer it has been. Three years in a row we have not "gone" anywhere for vacation, but the relaxation of the Covid restrictions has made life easier and allowed people to come to us. Unfortunately the time we are able to get away will cover the Superwalk weekend (as we have to be in Toronto for an appointment on Sept. 13). and we will not be "hosting" even a neighborhood walk this year.
There will not be a walk at Delki Dozzi park. In fact, there will not be a group walk as such. Wherever we are on Sept.11th, we'll watch the launch on the internet, and perhaps we can walk around a block. Whether we actually walk or not doesn't really matter. What does matter is that we raise funds together for education and support services, not only for people with Parkinson's, but also for their caregivers and family members. This annual event also raises funds for research into the causes of Parkinson's, better treatments and one day, a cure.
Perhaps some of you might like to host your own personal "walk" with people in your bubble or who you feel comfortable with. Wearing T-shirts from previous walks will lend an air of authenticity to your event and make for colourful pictures on social media.
Whatever you choose to do to support this walk, please realize how much we appreciate your support and participation. All contributions make a difference to people with Parkinson's.
