Welcome to My Personal Page
Dear Family and Friends:
I started showing symptoms of Parkinson's in late 2008. I went to see my doctor who sent me for a MRI and I was diagnosed in March of 2009 Since then, my Parkinson's has progressed to a point where I lose my balance and have to rely on a walker to get aroiund. My speech has gotten worse and my voice is quieter (lower in volume).
This is my seventh year for the Parkinson's SuperWalk. I want to thank everyone who contributed last year and ask you for your support again this year in our continued fight to find a cure. The walk this year is on Saturday, Septtember 11th, 2021 has been CANCELLED due to COVID-19. BUT each individual walker has been encouraged to do their own personal walk. i will be doing my walk thru the VILLAGE OF CLARKSON along Lakeshore Rd.(approx.1KM). i will be meeting at MAC DONALD'S on Lakeshore Rd.. at 10:30 AM.on Saturday September 11,2021. THE WALK;,leave Mac Donald;s go to Lakeshore Rd then east to MeadowWood Rd cross Lakeshore Rd to South side then west to Inverhouse Rd. cross Lakeshore Rd to North side then back to Mac Donald's. .if anyone would like to join me, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org (ASAP) with number of walkers and size of T-SHIRT ; child +age, S,M,L,L1x, L2x. also please go online and register as walker at www.parkinson.ca . I will join thousands of other Canadians who take part in this SuperWalk. Together we raise funds for education and support services, not only for people with Parkinson's, but also for their caregivers and family members, in communities across Canada. This annual event also raises funds for research into the cause of Parkinson's, better treatment and hopefully one day, a cure. When you walk with me or sponsor me, you bring us closer to this year's goal. Every dollar means new hope.
