Support Joe van Koeverden for Parkinson SuperWalk
Our Parkinson Community Stands Together: No Matter What
Joe van Koeverden was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 9 years ago. Joe finds that daily walking with the support of urban walking poles, helps him slow the progress of the disease, maintain mobility and stay fit.
"I am retired with a bit of time on my hands but also have to deal with decreasing energy levels and taking on too much volunteer and Honey-do suggestions. "So not sure if I will make the 1,000,000 steps this year. I will add a new idea by willing to take someone who is mobility challenge with me in the GRIT Freedom Wheel Chair on any of the city trails this summer. I have been taking Bill Heimiller out for many weeks and he enjoys the outing very much. Let me know if that is an option for you." Joe van Koeverden 705-868-2659
Joe has been recording the distance he walks since May 1, 2021 and will start to keep an ongoing total here after June 1st.
