Welcome to My Personal Page
Everyday Heroes. Extraordinary Hope.
Thanks for visiting my personal page. On the weekend of September 11th and 12th, I and the other members of the Pritchard/Gordon team are supporting the Parkinson SuperWalk in honor of my grandfather Fred Pritchard (1879-1953), my father Jim Pritchard (1912-1991) and my brother Bob Pritchard (1942-2017) who all lived with Parkinson's. Because of Covid there will be no physical walk this year but a variety of activities are taking place supporting the community spirit of the walk and helping to raise the funds that were previously associated with the walk. I will be walking with friends at Empire Crossing and my children and grandchildren will be walking as well. Whether you walk with me in spirit or sponsor me, you bring us closer to this year's goal of $3 million. Every dollar means new hope.
Those of you who know me from work or through personal relationships will be aware that I am a big believer in research and it’s power to change the world. I have already been a beneficiary of research done in Parkinson’s disease and believe that raising funds for this purpose will improve life for patients with Parkinson’s now and in the future.
In becoming part of the SuperWalk Community in Coburg/ Port Hope however, I have also learned the power of fellowship and mutual support in living with Parkinson’s.
Please help to ensure that Parkinson Canada is there for Canadians living with Parkinson’s today – while funding research into better treatments and one day, a cure.
Every dollar raised and every new team member means new hope.
