Support the Italian Stallion's for Parkinson SuperWalk
Everyday Heroes. Extraordinary Hope.
My father Patrick is the strongest person I know, literally. As a child I remember knowing that he could lift anything and oggled at the sight of him moving objects I thought only superman himself would be able to budge. He excelled at sports his entire life, never letting me win..not once, and still now do my friends bring up stories of big Pat from old college pictures or the fact that we still will never have the size of biceps he seems to have been inherintaly born with. My Dad is also the strongest person I know in life. He supports his family every second of everyday, he is absolutly selfless and only does all the amazing things he accomplishes for his family and friends, not himself. He is passionate, loving, resourceful, and a calm force that everyone can feel. My father had been living with Parkinson's but was officially diagnosed in 2016. I am walking for Pat, and every single person and family effected by Parkinson's Disease. Pat has fought for me my entire life, and now I will help bring the fight against Parkinson's for him.
This year may look different due to Covid-19 and our decision to make the SuperWalk virtual, but the same passion will definitely be felt. Our fight never stops.
Thanks for taking a look at my personal page. This September, I’m joining everyday heroes from communities across Canada as part of Parkinson SuperWalk. I’d like to tell you why, and what your donation will do. The need is only increasing. More than 25 Canadians are diagnosed with Parkinson's every day; more than one person every hour. By 2031, the number of people living with Parkinson’s in Canada will more than double. I am participating in Parkinson SuperWalk to fund the increasing need for support, advocacy and research.
Your donation fuels better health outcomes for Canadians living with Parkinson's today, and it supports the Parkinson Canada Research Program which works with Canada's brightest researchers to find the next big breakthroughs in treatment. This is why I'm asking for your support today.
Help me ensure Parkinson Canada is there for Canadians living with Parkinson’s today – while funding research into better treatments and one day, a cure.
To show your support, click the DONATE NOW button on the right hand side of the page, above the progress meter and achievements.
Every dollar means new hope. Thank you!
