Support my Mum for Parkinson SuperWalk
Our Parkinson Community Stands Together: No Matter What.
One thing that is constant in the journey with Parkinson's is change. It is an individual condition that impacts everyone differently. My family and I have learned through our journey with my mum that we need to stay flexible, and understand that there are things outside of our control.
While we’re not sure what that event will look like due to the possibility of Covid-19 restrictions, but one thing I am certain of is that this event WILL HAPPEN!
My mum has been impacted by this disease for quite a few years now and her battle has not been easy. She is the toughest and strongest person I know. She inspires me everyday to keep going even when life throws us curve balls. As she always says "We laugh so we don't cry"
Let me tell you more about this amazing woman...
- My mum is one of biggest reasons why I am where I am in life. She made sure that everyday for 4 years to drove me to and from school, practice, and physio appointments... literally travelled 3 cities everyday... all so I could get a scholarship and continue my journey to becoming a physiotherapist.
- Since then she has shown me that no disease will stop you as she worked at her favourite score Pier1 Imports for 2 years enjoying all the perks of working and being active mixed in with the 25% employee discount
