Support Lynn for Parkinson SuperWalk
Our Parkinson Community Stands Together: No Matter What.
One thing that is constant in the journey with Parkinson's is change. It is an individual condition that impacts everyone differently. My family has learned through our journey is that we need to stay flexible, and understand that there are things outside of our control. This year, I will be walking in support of my brother, Mike, and many, many others battling this disease.
As many of you know my brother has lives in a long term home for almost 6 years now. We now know that Parkinson's was brewing long before his initial diagnoses. That is why your support is so important, it takes time to get services as the disease progresses .
I am truly grateful for Parkinson's Canada, if it were not for them I am not sure how I would have or continue to cope. They educate, support and provide guidance on how to navigate through daily. Your support is what we need to help with these goals and of course research for breakthrough treatments and some day a cure!
I will be walking September 11 with some members from the support group I met through Parkinson's Canada. We are a family, supporting each other, some cannot join as they are full time caregivers and are unable to leave their loved ones. We are a small, but mighty group. This walk can be done anywhere across Canada, it can be small or big or you can just support an individual or group.
Thank you for your support from the bottom of my heart! A little goes a long way!!
