Support Shawna, Jacob, Seth and Joey for Parkinson SuperWalk
PLEASE SUPPORT US FOR THE PARKINSON SUPERWALK
This Saturday, we're joining people from communities across Canada as part of the Parkinson Canada SuperWalk.
Parkinson's is a nasty progressive nervous system disorder that affects wonderful people that are near and dear to us. It starts by affecting movement, usually leads to thinking problems, emotional difficulties, and other conditions that make living extraordinarily difficult. For both those affected AND their families.
More than 25 Canadians are diagnosed with Parkinson's every day; more than one person every hour. By 2031, the number of people living with Parkinson’s in Canada will more than double.
Currently, there is no cure for Parkinson’s. The medications available now might improve symptoms at best.
Families impacted by Parkinson’s need support, education, advocacy and guidance on how to navigate it, and research to one day prevent it (Shawna’s company, BlueRock Therapeutics, is working to develop a cure to completely eliminate this disease.)
We are walking this Saturday to raise awareness and funding to support these important goals.
To show your support, please consider any or all of the following:
1) Click the DONATE NOW button on the right-hand side of the page.
2) Join our team and walk with us (physically or virtually!). You can also start your own fundraising page and generate support from your network. Click on the JOIN TEAM button on the right-hand side of the page
3) Spread the word. Feel free to pass on this link to anyone you like. Every bit of awareness helps.
Every dollar means new hope. Every dollar improves the chances of eliminating Parkinson’s Disease.
Thank you most kindly!
Shawna, Jacob, Seth and Joey
