Thank you for your support!
Sept. 11/21 - SuperWalk is complete! Bill acted as my manager and kept me hydrated and moving along at a good clip...thanks again to everyone!
Hi! Well, I have long wanted to participate in the Parkinson Canada SuperWalk and so I'm finally doing it. It's an independent event this year due to Covid, but I promise you that I will faithfully complete my 5 km come rain or shine.
Asking for sponsors/$ does not come easily to me, but it's my hope that raising some money for this cause will help a lot of people. I'm walking for my brother John as well as so many others who have been affected by PD. I have learned a great deal about Parkinson's over the last 24 years as John has coped with its effects. A frightening statistic is that by 2031 the number of people living with Parkinson's in Canada will more than double. I am participating in this Walk to fund the increasing need for support, advocacy and research.
Please know that there is no pressure here - everyone has their favourite charities to support, which I totally understand.
If you are interested in donating a few dollars, however, the link seems to work well and generates a tax receipt promptly. Alternatively, if you prefer not to use the site, you can e-transfer me $ and I can donate it on your behalf. Whatever is easiest for you!
Thanks so much in advance for your thoughtfulness. It is much appreciated!
if you wish to use the link, click the DONATE NOW button on the right side of the page, above the progress meter and achievements.
Every dollar means new hope. Thank you!
