I wanted to let you know about an important event I am participating in on September 10, 2022 - I have been taking part in the Parkinson SuperWalk for ~ 25 years now largely in support of my Mother (Chiyoko Nagamatsu) who battled Parkinson's until she passed away in 2006. In 2014, my Mother's brother, Uncle Shu passed away also after battling Parkinson's and a dear friend Karen also passed away - Karen was a dedicated fundraiser for this cause given her sister's and father's battles with Parkinson's.
In this context and as a member of the Finance & Audit Committee for Parkinson Canada, I have made the commitment to fundraise alongside thousands of participants standing together against Parkinson’s and I need your support. With > 25 Canadians diagnosed with Parkinson’s every day, the need for support is only growing. Your gift contributes to critical research, education, support, and advocacy efforts on behalf of the Parkinson Community.
I have set a fundraising goal of $5,000 since I was below $5,000 for the first time in a while ($4,480) following strong fundraising levels in 2020 ($5,386) and 2019 ($5,025) – all this considering the unprecedented times we endured under COVID-19. Please donate to me and know that your donation will be used to bring a vision of better life today for Canadians living with Parkinson’s, a world without Parkinson’s tomorrow. Every gift counts.
Thanks in advance for your consideration and support and please feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
