Thanks for visiting our team page. This September, our team will be joining the Parkinson community across Canada as part of Parkinson Canada SuperWalk for the 5th year in memory of our dear Father/Grandfather/Uncle,  Giuseppe Cavuoti (Joe).  

Our dad  lost his battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, (PSP) a form of Parkinsonism, in October 2017. Dad suffered for three years with this debilitating illness. He would have wanted a cure to be found in his life time, so no person and family would have to go through what he went through. He is no longer with us, however through TEAM JOE'S LEGACY OF HOPE we can strive to provide support to those living with Parkinson and hopefully one day find a cure.

As a team, we’re committed to a future without Parkinson's. I’d like to tell you why, and what walking alongside us or visiting our personal pages and making a donation will do.

More than 25 Canadians are diagnosed with Parkinson's every day; more than one person every hour. By 2031, the number of people living with Parkinson’s in Canada will more than double. I am participating in SuperWalk to fund the increasing need for support, advocacy and research. This is why I’m asking for your support today. More than that, we walk to show our collective support for a united movement of people in communities across Canada looking to make a difference one step at a time.

Help me ensure Parkinson Canada is there for Canadians living with Parkinson’s today – while funding research into better treatments and one day, a cure.
