This is my 23rd year walking to raise money for Parkinson Canada. I do it in memory of my beloved father, and for my friends with this horrible disease. Many of you support me every year, for which I am grateful beyond words. I will do this annual fund raiser until a cure is found, or until I am no longer able. I appreciate your patience with me in this commitment, and your generosity, if you are able to support me. 100% of the money raised by the Superwalk goes to education, programmes designed to improve the quality of life for people living with Parkinson's disease, and research to find a cure.
More than 100,000 Canadians live with Parkinson's, a number expected to increase substantially in the coming years, with 30 Canadians diagnosed each day. By 2031, the number of people living with Parkinson's in Canada will more than double.
Parkinson's is a disease that affects not only individuals but also families, friends and care partners who come together to manage the realities of Parkinson’s. Let’s get together to donate to Parkinson Canada’s SuperWalk by supporting me again this year!
