Greetings,
Again this September, I’m joining a team from Boxing4Health, and other walkers from communities across Canada, in the Parkinson Canada SuperWalk.
More than 100,000 Canadians live with Parkinson’s Disease (pd) which with about 30 Canadians diagnosed each day, is a number that is expected to increase rapidly in the coming years. Parkinson’s Disease affects not only individuals, but also families, friends and care partners, who come together to manage the realities of the disease.
I was diagnosed with PD ten years ago at the Ottawa Hospital Movement Disorder Clinic. With medications tuned to my needs, fitness, and social connections I am fortunate to be doing relatively well.
Your donation supports better health outcomes for Canadians living with Parkinson's today, and it supports the Parkinson Canada Research Program, which works with Canadian researchers to search for the next big breakthroughs in treatment.
I'm asking for your support today. Please click the DONATE NOW button on the right hand side of the page. You should receive an automatic receipt by email.
Every dollar helps. Thank you!
